Proofreading/Copyediting

I will thoroughly check your work for spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure errors, etc. I will also make recommendations to improve word choice and clarity.

• I can make any needed corrections and highlight the amended text using Microsoft Word’s “Review” feature to provide explanations (sparingly or comprehensively, as preferred) in the right margin.
• If requested, I can instead highlight texts, refrain from making any edits, and provide detailed recommendations in the right margin.
• I can implement a combination of the two approaches above.
• If requested, I will turn on “Track Changes” and “redline” all edits.

Developmental Editing

In addition to the service described above, I will also help you with the overall structure of your work. I will help to make sure that your writing is clear, makes sense, and flows well from start to finish. I will make sure that citations and references are correct (please let me know what style guide you are following), that all web links work, that your work is well-structured and well-organized, etc. See pricing here.

Turnaround Times

Generally, expect a turnaround time of 1-2 days for smaller projects and up to 5-10 days for larger projects (depending on my workload). If the project is especially large (e.g., a lengthy book), I will let you know up front if my turnaround time is likely to be more than 5-10 days.
