Simple Service Options
Forget confusing service options. My services are simple and easy to understand. Choose between two service tiers : basic proofreading and comprehensive editing.
Basic Proofreading
I will thoroughly check your work for spelling, grammar, punctuation, comma usage, verb tense, sentence structure, and other errors. This service likely applies to work that is at least in its second draft, or is about to “go to press.”
- By default, I will make any needed corrections and highlight the amended portions with an explanation in the margin, using Microsoft Word’s “Review” feature.
- If requested, I can instead highlight errors and leave them unchanged, but explain in the margin why and how they should be changed, also using Microsoft Word’s “Review” feature.
- If there’s another way that you would like me to make corrections or give you feedback, please let me know.
Copy-editing/Extended Proofreading
In addition to basic proofreading, I will also help you with the overall structure of your work. I will help you make sure your writing is clear, makes sense, and is logical from start to finish. I will make sure citations and references are correct, that all web links work, that your work is well-structured and well-organized, etc.
Fast Delivery
You can generally expect a turnaround time of 5-10 days, or less if possible (especially if it’s a small project). I will do my best to let you know up front if my turnaround time is likely to be more than 5-10 days.
I anticipate handling work for my clients over the Internet (e.g. by email). However, if we need to send documents, etc. back and forth through regular mail, there will be an additional fee to cover the shipping charges.

My proofreading services are $4.00/page while my comprehensive editing services range between $5.00-$8.00/page depending on the complexity of the project. A page is defined as 250 words.
